Although these athletes are participating in recreational competitions, their level of interest and commitment to get information about the doping, nutrition and supplementation is highly commendable. 30 athletes and six coaches were sitting in a pleasant atmosphere on the tatami attended lectures and participated actively in the discussion. Most of them are first met with terms such as the List of prohibited substances or TUE. | Golubac hosted sailors and members of ADAS | ||||
Athletes and coaches from Sailing Association were in Golubac on the preparations and on Thursday 11.08.2011 they listened to a lecture about anti-doping fight. Under the auspices of UNESCO and in cooperation with the MOS, members of the ADAS went to Golubac to the pleasant atmosphere with young sailors well as their coaches and talk about anti-doping rules, the prohibited list, therapeutic exemptions, ethics and the harmful effects of doping. To the coaches this lecture was one of the mandatory for licensing their coaching practice.
Seminar with the voting system has proved to be a great solution to keep the attention of young athletes who have demonstrated a high level of interest in the topic of doping. This is another activity of Anti-Doping Agency of Serbia regarding the education of all sports workers regardless of their age and level of risk in terms of sports doping. Although in sailing are not known positive doping cases, however, the testing carried out in international competitions and therefore this information is always useful.

| ANTI-DOPING SEMINAR IN THE CONTINUING EDUCATION OF THE OLYMPIC COMMITTEE |
The Medical Commission of Olympic Committee intensified its activities in year before London 2012 so all sports participants can bee provided the necessary information from the medical segment. Medical Commission calls for the KE (which was scored by the Health Council) in the field of anti-doping fight sent to all Olympic federations and their doctors and medical workers who are in any way involved in the testing procedure. Unfortunately, the response was not observed but because those who came to this seminar, and always under the auspices of UNESCO in cooperation with the Ministry of youth and sport, could hear the basic concepts of anti-doping rule violation and the Prohibited list, with special reference to the TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemptions) and the adverse consequences of doping.
Professor Dragan Radovanovic as President of Health Commission reiterated the role of team doctors and the necessity of continuing education because cases in practice showed that the fault of doctors in treatment of athletes should bear the same level of responsibility as one that automatically downloads to the athletes. ADAS has once again shown that it is always in the mood for any kind of cooperation with the sports institutions to avoid shocking statistics from 2010 in which there were 19 positive doping athletes including Olympic candidates. Education is the only correct and primary goal to achieve this. |
